In the 36th minute, Leonard Purcaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilfredo Irrintzi. Wilfredo Irrintzi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelo Cordero was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Marcelo Cordero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Wilfredo Irrintzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ladislao Ihintza charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ladislao Ihintza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Gryffindor Lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Ihintza to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Eustacio Gaxan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 60th minute of play forced Gryffindor Lions's goalkeeper Wilfredo Irrintzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Marcelo Cordero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilfredo Irrintzi. The penalty shot was made by Marcelo Cordero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gryffindor Lions's Wilfredo Irrintzi. 5-1. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Joaquín Ybarra was substituted for Cristobal Polo. Marcelo Cordero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfredo Irrintzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After some careless play in the Gryffindor Lions defense, Marcelo Cordero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Irrintzi. The Gryffindor Lions fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfredo Irrintzi should have stopped the shot. Ladislao Ihintza got a throw-in 89 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Manuel Tonio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Cordero in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilfredo Irrintzi saved Gryffindor Lions from getting behind. 98 minutes into the game, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilfredo Irrintzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Gryffindor Lions's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
