The audience thought a goal was coming when Witold Ciempa got free with Peng Xu in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peng Xu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Porfiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jeremias Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Iturri, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Despite this Peng Xu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 36 minutes Kiev FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Recai Taykurt who took care of the corner kick. Cremonese's Witold Ciempa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Peng Xu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Valentim in the 38th minute of play forced Kiev FC's goalkeeper Peng Xu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Anselmo Iturri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The wind increased when Witold Ciempa made the kick off in the second half. Anselmo Iturri kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cremonese's zone, Anselmo Iturri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Cruz came out of the goal and Anselmo Iturri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Anselmo Iturri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute Witold Ciempa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peng Xu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cremonese booed when Kiev FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Burni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kiev FC's Angelino Abeita was substituted for Aristides Peli. Cremonese made a substitution. Mauro Rexino replaced Lu Guang Lang. Kiev FC's Ladislao Batista was substituted for Rodolfo Burni. 68 minutes into the match, Kiev FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Valentim came free, but Peng Xu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmo Iturri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Jeremias Cruz made a huge save. The Kiev FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peng Xu should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes into the game, Kiev FC's Anselmo Iturri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeremias Cruz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Peng Xu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Porfiro in the 89th minute of play. Anselmo Iturri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Anselmo Iturri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeremias Cruz. Cremonese's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Iturri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The Kiev FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kiev FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
