Los Trip's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 43rd minute of play. Peter Söderqwist charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter Söderqwist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

A well-hit corner resulted in Arturo Roderigo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Although Los Trip had been in control for most of the match, Menchu FC still came away with the win.
