In the 11th minute Niklas Ekeberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Afonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match San Martin de Tucumán got a corner. TALLERES DE CBA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicasio Jaizki ran over to the corner to take the kick. Godofredo Maule tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godofredo Maule showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Bernard, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Lucio Afonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Henryk in the 61st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Antonio Bernard sped through San Martin de Tucumán's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Godofredo Maule. Godofredo Maule made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Bernard in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucumán's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Pika came free, but Godofredo Maule reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of San Martin de Tucumán booed when TALLERES DE CBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuele Luzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucio Afonso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nicasio Jaizki. Lucio Afonso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shao Wei Wei in the 90th minute. After 92 minutes TALLERES DE CBA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nicasio Jaizki who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on San Martin de Tucumán's corner Nicasio Jaizki fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lucio Afonso quite easily take care of the ball. When TALLERES DE CBA's Ronaldo Pika in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
