They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorg Pieters in the 55th minute of play forced Putin Club - OFF's goalkeeper Severo Roderigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjy Benton replaced Flavio Laurgain. If Jorg Pieters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Putin Club - OFF's goalkeeper Severo Roderigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sören Bengtsson. 86 minutes into the game, Jorg Pieters recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Severo Roderigo. Jorg Pieters showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 88 minutes into the match, Putin Club - OFF's goalkeeper Severo Roderigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sören Bengtsson. After 91 played minutes Putin Club - OFF got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Orain. Jorg Pieters received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Severo Roderigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorg Pieters slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 94th minute. When the match was over Independiente could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Putin Club - OFF throughout the match.
