Dário Prada might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Froilan Jacob. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dário Prada ran back to his position shaking his head. Froilan Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Prada in the 3rd minute of play. A hard shot 7 in the game by Paulo Enmanuel from a close distance when the talented Silas de Andrade managed to make a qualified save. Los Hornos's players were relieved. When Los Hornos's Dário Prada in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Formentera's goalie prevented a goal. Dário Prada scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Froilan Jacob, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Froilan Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Prada in the 24th minute of play. In the 31st minute Dário Prada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Jacob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Dário Prada notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Formentera's Froilan Jacob. Froilan Jacob was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute of the match, Justino Hondo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silas de Andrade saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Enmanuel made a kick off. After some careless play in the Los Hornos defense, Paulo Enmanuel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silas de Andrade. The Los Hornos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silas de Andrade should have stopped the shot. When Dário Prada came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Los Hornos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dário Prada couldn't finish the play. Los Hornos made a substitution. Gene Simmons replaced Mustafa Erhard. Dário Prada took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Froilan Jacob. Froilan Jacob dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Modesto Poncio made in the 82nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Paulo Enmanuel however managed to control. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Formentera's goalkeeper Froilan Jacob, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute Los Hornos were awarded a corner. Justino Amato went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Justino Amato got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Froilan Jacob quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Modesto Poncio got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Los Hornos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
