Jerom Quvelirs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Cordara in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Wilfredo Cordara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerom Quvelirs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chivos's Kaan Safir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Osasun in the 18th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benicio Osasun in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaan Safir saved Chivos from getting behind. When El Retorno de Palermo's Benicio Osasun in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chivos's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of El Retorno de Palermo booed when Chivos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hulusi Temizkanoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kaan Safir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Osasun in the 21st minute of the match. El Retorno de Palermo's Jerom Quvelirs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Cordara in the 22nd minute of play. Pedro Jaunti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonides Nayely got a throw-in 26 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Martin Videl. Hulusi Temizkanoğlu's late challenge caught a El Retorno de Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hulusi Temizkanoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, one of Chivos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chivos. Pedro Jaunti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to El Retorno de Palermo getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Cyryl Marczyniec hit a great ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Wilfredo Cordara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chivos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Cordara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 70 minutes Chivos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zygmunt Malik who took care of the corner kick. Leonides Nayely made a great header on El Retorno de Palermo's corner, it was just that Chivos's Kaan Safir managed to reach the ball for a save. 74 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Cordara came free, but Jerom Quvelirs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Chivos's goalkeeper Kaan Safir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zygmunt Malik. Chivos made a substitution. Lindo Trabucco replaced Roman Cesario. Chivos's Isaac Bohlin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Martin Videl in the 78 minute of the game. Wilfredo Cordara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerom Quvelirs having to make a save. Jerom Quvelirs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Cordara in the 79th minute of play. Jerom Quvelirs came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Chivos's Angel Diagur. But to his dismay, Angel Diagur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Retorno de Palermo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
