Francisco Vincente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Palmquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Esteban Bladi notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Granate's Jonathan Palmquist. Jonathan Palmquist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edvin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christos Triantafyllou in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Municipales FC's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Municipales FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Angelito Di Maria hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Granate's goal looked a bit too open when İskender Yörük came free, but Jonathan Palmquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Esteban Bladi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Municipales FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 34 minutes into the match, Municipales FC's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christos Triantafyllou. Esteban Bladi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jonathan Palmquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Christos Triantafyllou reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edvin van der Sar. The goal made the score 2-3. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Municipales FC made a substitution. Arjen Robben replaced İskender Yörük. Municipales FC's Edgardo Quintun was substituted for Esteban Bladi. Granate's Eriberto Olando was substituted for Jonatan Adrio. 60 minutes into the match, Granate's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Quintun came free, but Jonathan Palmquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Christos Triantafyllou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Granate's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enzo Hermon in the 63rd minute. Granate's Jonathan Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Quintun in the 65th minute of play. Jonathan Palmquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Quintun's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Edgardo Quintun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Palmquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 75th minute Christos Triantafyllou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Municipales FC's Edgardo Quintun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Palmquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Edgardo Quintun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Municipales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Quintun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Palmquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Municipales FC's Edgardo Quintun in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Granate's goalie prevented a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Granate's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Quintun came free, but Jonathan Palmquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, Edgardo Quintun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Palmquist, 2-5.
