An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Hondo in the 9th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Godfredo Ascencio during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Ascencio. Marcial Roldanillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Lastur made a huge save. After 14 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Poz. In the 15th minute of the match, Agustin Silvino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leopoldo Lastur saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Silvino in the 17th minute of play. In the 24th minute Leonardo Poz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Quentin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Pincha FC's Marcial Roldanillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leopoldo Lastur. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. Leopoldo Lastur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcial Roldanillo in the 32nd minute. Rodrigo Mendebal's late challenge caught a Leones FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Mendebal helped the player get up and apologised. Pincha FC:s Carlos Quentin showed great skill when he stopped Dante Mannie:s penalty. In the 47th minute Martin Asier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Quentin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the referee ended the match the Pincha FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
