The Reconquistense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Piara Tittarelli should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Seme got free with Marcos Ranolfo in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Amado came free, but Marcos Ranolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Reconquistense FC booed when Estudiantes de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Armindo Amado made the kick off in the second half. Marcos Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Seme, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute.
