Riverzone's Ezequiel Centurión played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kraig Fred in the 5th minute of play. When Kraig Fred came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Estudiantes de América fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kraig Fred couldn't finish the play. Ezequiel Centurión made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kraig Fred in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Kraig Fred got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kraig Fred blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ezequiel Centurión having to make a save. Ezequiel Centurión stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kraig Fred's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Ezequiel Centurión didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kraig Fred went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Estudiantes de América's Traian Blăniță was substituted for Cornelio Ruisko. In the 64th minute, Orlando Beltza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ezequiel Centurión was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Orlando Beltza put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ezequiel Centurión. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calle Jakobsson got free with Marcos Ranolfo in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Estudiantes de América fans cheered their team off the field, for while Riverzone had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
