The Santa Margarita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Lino Lidon came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Margarita's Gerardo Lordi. But to his dismay, Gerardo Lordi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Lordi in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lino Lidon saved Temperley from getting behind. In the 48th minute of the match Santa Margarita got a corner. Temperley's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enzo Peruxu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half Santa Margarita were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
