Arnaldo Cai hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. A collision led to River Plate. getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Francisco Etor hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Cai in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mo Chen Yang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mo Chen Yang came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Pumas Serranos FC's Leonides Caradaro. But to his dismay, Leonides Caradaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Calisto in the 19th minute of play forced River Plate.'s goalkeeper Mo Chen Yang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Club Pumas Serranos FC's Arnaldo Cai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mo Chen Yang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Domingo Papo put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Xie Ning Jun. In the 29th minute, Andres Gai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mo Chen Yang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Haimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Club Pumas Serranos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Anselius came free, but Xie Ning Jun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mo Chen Yang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Cai in the 38th minute. With a little luck, River Plate.'s Mo Chen Yang got control of the ball when Leonides Caradaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Jonas Anselius managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Anselius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xie Ning Jun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Club Pumas Serranos FC made a substitution. Alfredo Barbosa replaced Arnaldo Cai. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingo Papo made a kick off. Filomeno Bastiaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Mo Chen Yang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mo Chen Yang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Rafel in the 58th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Cristian Evangelista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Club Pumas Serranos FC's Ermanno Valeri broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 70 minutes into the match, River Plate.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Barbosa came free, but Mo Chen Yang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mo Chen Yang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Rafel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Evangelista's late challenge caught a Club Pumas Serranos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Evangelista helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes River Plate. got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Evangelista. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Anselius in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xie Ning Jun saved Club Pumas Serranos FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Rafel in the 80th minute of play forced River Plate.'s goalkeeper Mo Chen Yang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Victoriano Rafel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mo Chen Yang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Barbosa in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Aríel Etchegaray ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mo Chen Yang was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. In the 92nd minute Alfredo Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mo Chen Yang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 93 played minutes River Plate. got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Raphael. The supporters of Club Pumas Serranos FC booed when River Plate. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Pumas Serranos FC had won after a very even match.
