Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Christian Bergqvist was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Şenol Güneş in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Andres Pitin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tigres Ñacuñán FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Pitin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şenol Güneş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th match minute, Tigres Ñacuñán FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Ireno to maneuver through the defense. 汪常然 in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eloy Mazuste, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Eloy Mazuste managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when LOS MENTI's 汪常然 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalkeeper Eloy Mazuste, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-0 when 汪常然 sped through Tigres Ñacuñán FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eloy Mazuste. LOS MENTI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Gagriel in the 35th minute. The corner led LOS MENTI's David Gagriel to fire away a dangerous shot which Eloy Mazuste despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Eloy Mazuste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 汪常然 in the 42nd minute of the match. David Gagriel charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Gagriel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes LOS MENTI got a freekick which was hit by David Gagriel. Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Christian Bergqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sinan Okergun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Bergqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Bergqvist in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şenol Güneş saved LOS MENTI from getting behind. With a little luck, LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş got control of the ball when Christian Bergqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Eloy Mazuste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 汪常然 in the 58th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goal looked a bit too open when 汪常然 came free, but Eloy Mazuste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şenol Güneş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Bergqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Frans Pedolles put in a rough tackle. Penalty! 汪常然 took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Mazuste. Eloy Mazuste dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Andres Pitin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Şenol Güneş made a huge save. Eloy Mazuste stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 汪常然's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Bergqvist in the 78th minute of play. Christian Bergqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Şenol Güneş made a huge save. In the 96th minute Christian Bergqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şenol Güneş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 97 minutes, Marco George mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LOS MENTI and the Tigres Ñacuñán FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tigres Ñacuñán FC booed when LOS MENTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco George didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tigres Ñacuñán FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
