Ricardo Oinaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidiu Acatincăi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. When Ildefonso Ramone fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFTER GYM FC's protests and gave Ildefonso Ramone a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in AFTER GYM FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! The supporters of AFTER GYM FC booed when Luganeros AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joe Kimutai didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Luganeros AFC made a substitution. Yu Quan Di replaced Ricardo Oinaz. The wind increased when Prudencio Bilbo made the kick off in the second half. Roland Oleszak made in the 52nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Vázquez immediately put the ball in play. AFTER GYM FC were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Luganeros AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eustaquio Bazkoare took the corner. Melquiades Chumo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 58th minute, Prudencio Bilbo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ovidiu Acatincăi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Liher in the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Quan Di in the 75th minute of play forced AFTER GYM FC's goalkeeper Ovidiu Acatincăi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, AFTER GYM FC's Prudencio Bilbo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Porfiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AFTER GYM FC's Ovidiu Acatincăi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Vázquez in the 77th minute of play. Luganeros AFC's Rey Ronaldo was substituted for Luis Vázquez. AFTER GYM FC's Kevin Dolar was substituted for Dalibor Seman. Yu Quan Di sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, AFTER GYM FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rey Ronaldo came free, but Ovidiu Acatincăi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Luganeros AFC's Yu Quan Di to fire away a dangerous shot which Ovidiu Acatincăi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Luganeros AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Rutkowski came free, but Gabriel Porfiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
