Sebastian Winszman made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Ari Hakanpää sent off a good shot on target. In the 5th minute of the match Stal Sanok got a corner. Modlau's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lin Ang ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lin Ang kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If Barry McCray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Modlau were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Stal Sanok's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Barry McCray took the corner. After taking down the ball on Modlau's corner Barry McCray fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sune Rudberg quite easily take care of the ball. In the 24th minute Cui Liang Xiong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Winszman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute Barry McCray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sune Rudberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dominic Salazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sune Rudberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Dominic Salazar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sune Rudberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincenty Mochowak in the 37th minute of play forced Stal Sanok's goalkeeper Sune Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sune Rudberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hieronim Cisek in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Ari Hakanpää managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stal Sanok's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ari Hakanpää was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hieronim Cisek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Sune Rudberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Sune Rudberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarmo Laik in the 51st minute of the match. Sune Rudberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarmo Laik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Winszman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cihat Cevval in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Boleslaw Dres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stal Sanok's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Modlau the free kick. Modlau made a substitution. Ludomir Ludwiczak replaced Ostap Geilarov. After a rather tough play, Stal Sanok's Boleslaw Dres got a free kick in the 59th minute. Sebastian Winszman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cihat Cevval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th match minute, Stal Sanok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Nicuşor to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Stal Sanok's goalkeeper Sune Rudberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hieronim Cisek. After a defensive mix-up in Stal Sanok's zone, Dominic Salazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sune Rudberg came out of the goal and Dominic Salazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Modlau's Zula Sanocki was substituted for Hieronim Cisek. Sebastian Winszman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ari Hakanpää, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Stal Sanok's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lin Ang in the 76th minute. With a little luck, Stal Sanok's Sune Rudberg got control of the ball when Wincenty Mochowak tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Stal Sanok's goal looked a bit too open when Wincenty Mochowak came free, but Sune Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Modlau's goal looked a bit too open when Cihat Cevval came free, but Sebastian Winszman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boleslaw Dres in the 85th minute of play forced Modlau's goalkeeper Sebastian Winszman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes, Zula Sanocki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Modlau and the Stal Sanok players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stal Sanok made a substitution. Julian Panikowski replaced Ari Hakanpää. In the 89th minute, one of Modlau:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Modlau. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Stal Sanok. Lin Ang stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sebastian Winszman. 1-1. If Dominic Salazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Modlau failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
