But to his dismay, José Augusto Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shaolin soccer's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cyprian Orling was slow to take the kick. During this time MS Rybnik's players had a chance to rest. In the 19th match minute, MS Rybnik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyprian Pracki to maneuver through the defense. Miromir Lichorobiec might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Izydor Wolnik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miromir Lichorobiec ran back to his position shaking his head. Izydor Wolnik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miromir Lichorobiec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Szczepan Zacharzewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Wlodzimierz Osielski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wlodzimierz Osielski made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Augusto Rosa in the 30th minute. Izydor Wolnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Walczyk in the 37th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Shaolin soccer's Miromir Lichorobiec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Izydor Wolnik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Augusto Rosa made a kick off. Wlodzimierz Osielski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Fernandez in the 84th minute of play forced Shaolin soccer's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Osielski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wlodzimierz Osielski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MS Rybnik fans cheered their team off the field, for while Shaolin soccer had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
