Xilo Cortada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Julian Zakrzewski made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ethan Smart in the 16th minute of play forced Purple Shadows's goalkeeper Ubaldo Lluterio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Lluterio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raphaël Félicité went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Oscar Verstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Purple Shadows's Ubaldo Lluterio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Carlini in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute, Purple Shadows's Ludomil Harbaszewski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ludomil Harbaszewski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Purple Shadows protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ludomil Harbaszewski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 36 minutes into the game, one of Purple Shadows:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ubaldo Lluterio had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Raphaël Félicité's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Verstraeten in the 41st minute of play forced Purple Shadows's goalkeeper Ubaldo Lluterio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ethan Smart took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ubaldo Lluterio. Ubaldo Lluterio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half Kujawiak Włocławek were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Xilo Cortada's late challenge caught a Kujawiak Włocławek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
