The tension between the PTC Pabianice and the Fortuna 86 Szczecin players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute Skapti Škarpa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Wolnik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borys Wolnik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Åke Rosendahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PTC Pabianice were furious when Dariusz Kaszubik was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PTC Pabianice! Borys Wolnik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from István Markos in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, PTC Pabianice's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Rosendahl came free, but Borys Wolnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PTC Pabianice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig-Åke Rosendahl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by István Markos in the 45th minute of play forced PTC Pabianice's goalkeeper Borys Wolnik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Fortuna 86 Szczecin were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

PTC Pabianice's Borys Wolnik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save PTC Pabianice from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers István Markos in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Borys Wolnik saved PTC Pabianice from getting behind. Zula Plaski hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Yin Sen Quan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Borys Wolnik made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Stig-Åke Rosendahl sent off a good shot on target. Borys Wolnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Skapti Škarpa in the 87th minute of play. Stig-Åke Rosendahl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Borys Wolnik made a huge save. In the 94th minute Gustaw Niewiadomski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Wolnik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borys Wolnik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Åke Rosendahl in the 95th minute. Fortuna 86 Szczecin's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
