Legia Warszawa's Zenon Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth Eklund in the 7th minute of play. If Leszek Podwojski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Axel Lindberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zenon Pleban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth Eklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, CRS Pogoń Barlinek's goalkeeper Evert Telin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leszek Podwojski. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind CRS Pogoń Barlinek's goalkeeper Evert Telin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in CRS Pogoń Barlinek's zone, Karol Tomiczek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Telin came out of the goal and Karol Tomiczek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute Axel Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Telin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Legia Warszawa's Axel Lindberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Zenon Pleban came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by CRS Pogoń Barlinek's Gilbert Dziurowicz. But to his dismay, Gilbert Dziurowicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincent Rode in the 38th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Zenon Pleban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Legia Warszawa's Zenon Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Bronder in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by CRS Pogoń Barlinek's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Qiu Yang was slow to take the kick. During this time Legia Warszawa's players had a chance to rest.

Evert Telin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leszek Podwojski went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leszek Podwojski in the 56th minute of play forced CRS Pogoń Barlinek's goalkeeper Evert Telin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Qiu Yang almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CRS Pogoń Barlinek's Evert Telin did a great save. Zenon Pleban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth Eklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, CRS Pogoń Barlinek's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Tomiczek came free, but Evert Telin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leszek Podwojski came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Legia Warszawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leszek Podwojski couldn't finish the play. Kenneth Eklunds short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Zenon Pleban to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 73 in the game by Artur Bronder from a close distance when the talented Zenon Pleban managed to make a qualified save. Legia Warszawa's players were relieved. Axel Lindberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evert Telin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Zenon Pleban was a little too slow when Gilbert Dziurowicz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 86th minute, Qiu Yang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herbert Duszenski kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Zenon Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Eklund in the 95th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
