In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomasz Burufski in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikolaj Jerzyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Vollmar in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ke Feng Ang saved GORNIK PIASKI from getting behind. Thomas Vollmar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Ke Feng Ang skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 34th minute, Zdzislaw Dejo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ke Feng Ang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Vollmar, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A collision led to GORNIK PIASKI getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Zdzislaw Dejo hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Piotr Jenkot came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şamil Başsoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GORNIK PIASKI's Ke Feng Ang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save GORNIK PIASKI from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomasz Burufski was the one to do the kick off.
