Ludomir Zacharek started the match with the kick off. GKS Katowice's Věroslav Skalický got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by GKS Katowice's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gwidon Patora was slow to take the kick. During this time Veth Crystals's players had a chance to rest. In the 9th minute, Věroslav Skalický ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiburcio Jakue was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 12thth minute of the game Gwidon Patora who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GKS Katowice's Amadeo Roma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Amadeo Roma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gwidon Patora. A collision led to Veth Crystals getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Gwidon Patora hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Gwidon Patora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Roma was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 24 minutes GKS Katowice's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gwidon Patora who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gwidon Patora almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but GKS Katowice's Amadeo Roma did a great save. The audience was convinced that Gwidon Patora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Roma was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Herminio Umea hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Liu Zhi Guang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Gwidon Patora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Roma was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herminio Umea during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Herminio Umea kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Gwidon Patora shot from long distance in the 35th minute, but Amadeo Roma was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 37 minutes into the match, Veth Crystals's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomir Zacharek came free, but Tiburcio Jakue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Věroslav Skalický had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Gwidon Patora made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Veth Crystals's Gwidon Patora nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeo Roma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gwidon Patora in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeo Roma saved GKS Katowice from getting behind. After 64 played minutes Veth Crystals got a freekick which was hit by Karl Hultstrand. In the 66th minute, Karl Hultstrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gwidon Patora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Roma having to interfere. After 70 played minutes GKS Katowice got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Sokolski. In the 71stth minute of the game Gwidon Patora who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GKS Katowice's Amadeo Roma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amadeo Roma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwidon Patora in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Raul Loramendi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Veth Crystals's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Loramendi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Liu Zhi Guang scored 4-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amadeo Roma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amadeo Roma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwidon Patora, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by GKS Katowice's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gwidon Patora was slow to take the kick. During this time Veth Crystals's players had a chance to rest. In the 86th match minute, GKS Katowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezary Kasiewski to maneuver through the defense. GKS Katowice's Amadeo Roma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbigniew Wierzbicki in the 87th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gwidon Patora in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeo Roma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeo Roma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbigniew Wierzbicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The supporters of GKS Katowice booed when Veth Crystals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Józef Kalafus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Dominik Brysz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiburcio Jakue skillfully saved the ball. Amadeo Roma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gwidon Patora's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Amadeo Roma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gwidon Patora went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. GKS Katowice's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
