The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roch Grondzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kang Xuan Liang, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Giraldo got free with Tolek Pietras in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Zurich's goalie and right to Jacinto Pinto. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Zurich's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 9 minutes into the game, SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Oscar Giraldo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tolek Pietras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A collision led to FC Zurich getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Eleuterio Erdiano hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Tolek Pietras threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oscar Giraldo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 18th minute of the match, Oscar Giraldo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tolek Pietras was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Oscar Giraldo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tolek Pietras. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, FC Zurich's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Lewandowski came free, but Tolek Pietras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kang Xuan Liang took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roch Grondzki. Roch Grondzki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After a rather tough play, FC Zurich's Yao Ying Zhen got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Tolek Pietras was left in no man's land by his defense there! SMOCZANKA MIELEC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
