Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tonton Eren kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Grzegorz Rasiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ajax fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Ajax's Wojtek Sokol looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 7 minutes into the match, Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Grzegorz Rasiak came free, but Gigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 12 minutes, Andrzej Rudy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ajax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrzej Rudy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grzegorz Rasiak in the 14th minute of play forced Ajax's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Fragleses's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Bryk came free, but Kim Hänninen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ajax's Gigi Buffon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Ajax from getting a goal against them. Kim Hänninen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tonton Eren in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fragleses's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Klement Bryk was slow to take the kick. During this time Ajax's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Fragleses's goalie and right to Arturo Palladino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Fragleses's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tonton Eren in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kim Hänninen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the match, Fragleses's goal looked a bit too open when Tonton Eren came free, but Kim Hänninen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Halim Tetiker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Buffon having to interfere. Kim Hänninen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tonton Eren, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Wiktor Gomolka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Wiktor Gomolka came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Fragleses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiktor Gomolka couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Fragleses were awarded a corner. Roch Dejo went to the cornerflag to take it. Grzegorz Rasiak made a great header on Fragleses's corner, it was just that Ajax's Gigi Buffon managed to reach the ball for a save. Wiktor Gomolka kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Ajax were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grzegorz Rasiak was the one to do the kick off. Ajax's Gigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grzegorz Rasiak in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Grzegorz Rasiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Ajax's Tonton Eren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kim Hänninen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grzegorz Rasiak in the 61st minute of the match. Andrzej Rudy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Hänninen having to interfere. Fragleses's Waldemar Wojtowicz was substituted for Olaf Wojtowicz. The supporters of Ajax booed when Fragleses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vsevolod Rotan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrzej Rudy got free with Kim Hänninen in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ajax's Gigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grzegorz Rasiak in the 85th minute of play. Klement Bryk struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Kim Hänninen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax. Fragleses made a substitution. Radoslaw Czerwinski replaced Roch Dejo. Ajax made a substitution. Jacek Kieca replaced Wojtek Sokol. Grzegorz Rasiak took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigi Buffon. Gigi Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.
