Dante Vanooteghem's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Wit Kasperowicz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Wit Kasperowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Vanooteghem, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milosz Czerwiec got free with Wit Kasperowicz in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the game, Renato Chaves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wit Kasperowicz. Renato Chaves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. With a little luck, KS LEW Chorzów's Wit Kasperowicz got control of the ball when Milosz Czerwiec tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wit Kasperowicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roch Karbowski in the 30th minute. Lucjan Lanczak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikolaj Trac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roch Karbowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Wit Kasperowicz made a huge save. Milosz Czerwiec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Wit Kasperowicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute Mikolaj Trac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Lanczak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to KS LEW Chorzów getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Wieslaw Maziarski hit a great ball. With a little luck, KS LEW Chorzów's Wit Kasperowicz got control of the ball when Renato Chaves tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renato Chaves to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Milosz Czerwiec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wit Kasperowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Dante Vanooteghem heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some careless play in the KS LEW Chorzów defense, Milosz Czerwiec kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wit Kasperowicz. The KS LEW Chorzów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wit Kasperowicz should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute Roch Karbowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wit Kasperowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Lechia Gdańsk's Roch Karbowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wit Kasperowicz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Lucjan Lanczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikolaj Trac in the 67th minute of the match. Wit Kasperowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th match minute, KS LEW Chorzów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikolaj Trac to maneuver through the defense. Remigiusz Czeberowski hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Wit Kasperowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milosz Czerwiec in the 73rd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Lechia Gdańsk's goalkeeper Lucjan Lanczak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wieslaw Maziarski. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Milosz Czerwiec put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wit Kasperowicz. 81 minutes into the game, Wieslaw Maziarski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Lucjan Lanczak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lechia Gdańsk's Milosz Czerwiec got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Wieslaw Maziarski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS LEW Chorzów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wieslaw Maziarski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to KS LEW Chorzów getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Mikolaj Juszkowski hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the Lechia Gdańsk players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
