Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pawel Wielowiejskis short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Braulio Gartxot to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 33rd minute, Dawid Bielecki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Łukasz Fabiański read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Pawel Wielowiejski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Braulio Gartxot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 41st minute of the match Gwarek Zabrze got a corner. Red Devils's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dawid Bielecki ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Dawid Bielecki got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Braulio Gartxot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Łukasz Fabiański made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Pawel Wielowiejski might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Braulio Gartxot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pawel Wielowiejski in the 91st minute of play forced Red Devils's goalkeeper Braulio Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Gwarek Zabrze's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel da Rocha.
