Nichlas Vesterdahl came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Hoberg United's Balázs Sebes. But to his dismay, Balázs Sebes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Mario Rui kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Randers A.F.C. from getting a goal against them. Rene Rostholm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida Martins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hoberg United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rodrigo Tome was slow to take the kick. During this time Randers A.F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Randers A.F.C.'s Børge Buhr getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Rene Rostholm might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dida Martins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rene Rostholm ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Hoberg United's Nichlas Vesterdahl threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Danny Grønnow, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Rene Rostholm came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Randers A.F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Rostholm couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Randers A.F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Danny Grønnow was slow to take the kick. During this time Hoberg United's players had a chance to rest. Nichlas Vesterdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio-Paul Pirinchev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Hoberg United's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Rostholm came free, but Dida Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Randers A.F.C.'s Rene Rostholm got a free kick in the 44th minute. Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio-Paul Pirinchev in the 45th minute of play. Rene Rostholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Martins having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Rostholm to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes Hoberg United got a freekick which was hit by Balázs Sebes. Rene Rostholm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dida Martins having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Rostholm in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Martins saved Hoberg United from getting behind. Nichlas Vesterdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio-Paul Pirinchev in the 59th minute of play. When Hoberg United's Danny Grønnow in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Randers A.F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Randers A.F.C. getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Rodrigo Tome hit a great ball. Randers A.F.C.'s Nik Frisendal was substituted for Radim Gola. In the 74th minute, Rodrigo Tome hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dida Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigismund Ravnskjold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dida Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Shelby in the 79th minute of the match. Hoberg United's Jimmi Imtiaz was substituted for Randy Bastard. In the 88th match minute, Randers A.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Steenbeck to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Hoberg United's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Tome came free, but Dida Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nichlas Vesterdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balázs Sebes, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Randers A.F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
