In the 15th minute Thorfinn Ranhauge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Søren Kvols saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boldklubben Skjold were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Darkwing Ducks's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eli Løndov took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Su Xu in the 20th minute of play forced Boldklubben Skjold's goalkeeper Johnni Kirkskov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Boldklubben Skjold's goal looked a bit too open when Su Xu came free, but Johnni Kirkskov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Su Xu put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Johnni Kirkskov. Tiago Mora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnni Kirkskov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Su Xu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnni Kirkskov having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Eduino made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose Eduino got free with Søren Kvols in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Su Xu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Johnni Kirkskov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darkwing Ducks's Søren Kvols proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Darkwing Ducks from getting a goal against them. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Su Xu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnni Kirkskov having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Su Xu in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnni Kirkskov saved Boldklubben Skjold from getting behind. Darkwing Ducks's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
