Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kyle Thake started the match with the kick off. Richard Lentini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emil Juravschi's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. After 3 played minutes UFC Puturoasa got a freekick which was hit by Mircea Musteatã. Olgierd Dawiec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Carlos Alberto Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emil Juravschi in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Lentini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute, Mircea Musteatã hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UFC Puturoasa's Carlos Alberto Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Thake in the 14th minute of play. The UFC Puturoasa fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when UFC Puturoasa's Emil Juravschi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When UFC Puturoasa's Emil Juravschi in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Floriana Celtics's goalie prevented a goal. Mircea Musteatã's late challenge caught a Floriana Celtics's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mircea Musteatã helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Floriana Celtics booed when UFC Puturoasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Musteatã didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Thake in the 33rd minute of play forced UFC Puturoasa's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Testaferrata Viani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. UFC Puturoasa were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Floriana Celtics's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emil Sângeorzan took the corner. The corner led UFC Puturoasa's Emil Sângeorzan to fire away a dangerous shot which Richard Lentini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 43 played minutes Floriana Celtics got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Vella.

The wind increased when Emil Juravschi made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Floriana Celtics getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Giorgio Caruana hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Dawiec in the 58th minute of play forced UFC Puturoasa's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Juravschi in the 60th minute of play forced Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute UFC Puturoasa were awarded a corner. Emil Sângeorzan went to the cornerflag to take it. UFC Puturoasa's Emil Sângeorzan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Richard Lentini in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Emil Juravschi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Kyle Thake's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Alberto Salgado was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in UFC Puturoasa's zone, Giorgio Caruana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Salgado came out of the goal and Giorgio Caruana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Floriana Celtics made a substitution. Robby Baggio replaced Olgierd Dawiec. 75 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emil Sângeorzan. UFC Puturoasa's Carlos Alberto Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robby Baggio in the 83rd minute of play. Stefan Vanghele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, UFC Puturoasa's Alexei Caraman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2.
