Sebastian Ekelund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olexiy Stus having to make a save. Olexiy Stus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Ekelund in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Juventus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Ekelund came free, but Olexiy Stus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jay Jowsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Laredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Juventus FC's goalkeeper Olexiy Stus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juventus FC were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Attard Gunners's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matthias Zahn took the corner. After 46 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Grech. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Olexiy Stus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Juventus FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Juventus FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
