Anibal Aritza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th match minute, SK Annenieki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aigars Builis to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Truseni's zone, Aivils Aiza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Aritza came out of the goal and Aivils Aiza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodor Cornea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Jānis Lielais when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Truseni's Alexei Jereghi got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indris Tomass in the 29th minute of play forced FC Truseni's goalkeeper Anibal Aritza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugen Tabãrã's late challenge caught a SK Annenieki's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugen Tabãrã helped the player get up and apologised. Eugen Tabãrã hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Aivils Aiza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anibal Aritza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. SK Annenieki's Jānis Lielais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonid Nazaria in the 38th minute of play. When Teodor Cornea came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FC Truseni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodor Cornea couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teodor Cornea to strike the kick off in the second half. When Leonid Nazaria came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the FC Truseni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonid Nazaria couldn't finish the play. Teodor Cornea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jānis Lielais read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Indris Tomass sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute of the match FC Truseni got a corner. SK Annenieki's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sandu Perju ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sandu Perju made a great header on FC Truseni's corner, it was just that SK Annenieki's Jānis Lielais managed to reach the ball for a save. Anibal Aritza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aivils Aiza in the 62nd minute of the match. After 64 minutes FC Truseni's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Reinholds Jaunzems who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to SK Annenieki's Aigars Builis getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 79 played minutes FC Truseni got a freekick which was hit by George Pricop. With his leg Anibal Aritza managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when SK Annenieki's Jāzeps Pics fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 95th minute, Eugen Tabãrã hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
