In the 16th minute, Fernando Negro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anibal Aritza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Negro got free with Anibal Aritza in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Negro might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anibal Aritza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Negro ran back to his position shaking his head. Fernando Negro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Anibal Aritza made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Fernando Negro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anibal Aritza. That made the score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. In the 30th minute, Victor Hugo Basso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Truseni's goalkeeper Anibal Aritza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anibal Aritza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernando Negro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. The supporters of Seraċini Għawdxin booed when FC Truseni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tudor Buga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seraċini Għawdxin's Rahim Kornes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Tãrâtã in the 43rd minute of play. When Fernando Negro came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Seraċini Għawdxin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Negro couldn't finish the play. Fernando Negro struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Anibal Aritza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seraċini Għawdxin. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Pãduret to make the kick off. When Seraċini Għawdxin's Fernando Negro in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Truseni's goalie prevented a goal. In the 60th minute, Fernando Negro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Rahim Kornes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Tãrâtã in the 64th minute of play. Anibal Aritza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Negro in the 65th minute of play. After 65 minutes of play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Fernando Negro made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anibal Aritza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anibal Aritza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Bejrut in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to FC Truseni getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Tudor Buga hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Truseni's Tudor Tãrâtã slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rahim Kornes. That made the score 6-1 after 79 minutes of play. 84 minutes into the match, FC Truseni's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Negro came free, but Anibal Aritza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Fernando Negro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Aritza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's Fernando Negro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anibal Aritza narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
