With his leg Jānis Lielais managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Shymkent Camels's Christer Johnsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Shymkent Camels's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christer Johnsson in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute, Christer Johnsson made a precise shot to the right of Jānis Lielais. SK Annenieki's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Christer Johnsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Jānis Lielais skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jānis Lielais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiang Cheng Peng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christer Johnsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Jānis Lielais when he managed to save the team from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Indris Tomass made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Indris Tomass hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christer Johnsson in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jānis Lielais saved SK Annenieki from getting behind. Christer Johnsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jānis Lielais read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Horacio Zarricueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jāzeps Pics in the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Shymkent Camels's goal looked a bit too open when Aivils Aiza came free, but Horacio Zarricueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, SK Annenieki's Horacio Zarricueta threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aivils Aiza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Christer Johnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Jānis Lielais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SK Annenieki's Vilis Lettlands was substituted for Indris Tomass. In the 75th match minute, Shymkent Camels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandu Donecea to maneuver through the defense. Jānis Lielais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Shymkent Camels booed when SK Annenieki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aivils Aiza didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Shymkent Camels getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Sandu Donecea hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Shymkent Camels's goalkeeper Horacio Zarricueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vilis Lettlands. Shymkent Camels's Horacio Zarricueta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Shymkent Camels from getting a goal against them.
