An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Falcão in the 4th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Rahim Kornes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Zézinho Falcão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rahim Kornes. Seraċini Għawdxin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zézinho Falcão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Bejrut in the 7th minute of play forced Shymkent Camels's goalkeeper Horacio Zarricueta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seraċini Għawdxin's Rahim Kornes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ayrton Schumacher in the 12th minute of play. Rahim Kornes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruslan Gak's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Horacio Zarricueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Griffin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Shymkent Camels's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Griffin came free, but Horacio Zarricueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Shymkent Camels's goalkeeper Horacio Zarricueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Negro. Ruslan Gak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Song Wei Yun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Horacio Zarricueta, 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Harry Potter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Seraċini Għawdxin's Rahim Kornes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jiang Cheng Peng in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute Song Wei Yun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Zarricueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Milla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rahim Kornes having to interfere. In the 38th minute Fernando Negro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Zarricueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute of the match Seraċini Għawdxin got a corner. Shymkent Camels's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Griffin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Samuel Griffin made a great header on Seraċini Għawdxin's corner, it was just that Shymkent Camels's Horacio Zarricueta managed to reach the ball for a save. Horacio Zarricueta came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Seraċini Għawdxin's Valdomiro Velasco. But to his dismay, Valdomiro Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Ruslan Gak kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruslan Gak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Fernando Negro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Zarricueta was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Shymkent Camels's zone, Fernando Negro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Zarricueta came out of the goal and Fernando Negro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Zarricueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Song Wei Yun in the 59th minute of the match. Fernando Negro might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Zarricueta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Negro ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, Shymkent Camels's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Negro came free, but Horacio Zarricueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Seraċini Għawdxin's Rahim Kornes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Seraċini Għawdxin from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Jiang Cheng Peng came free, but Rahim Kornes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filip Bejrut took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horacio Zarricueta. Horacio Zarricueta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After a rather tough play, Shymkent Camels's Ayrton Schumacher got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute of the match, Jiang Cheng Peng tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rahim Kornes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Shymkent Camels's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
