Lucio Claus started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes, Ilmo Jussilainen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aek athens and the Eagle FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgil Stănoiu got free with Sakis Kaladosis in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Claus in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sakis Kaladosis saved Aek athens from getting behind. Ekrem Tapa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakis Kaladosis having to interfere. Sakis Kaladosis made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Virgil Stănoiu sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, Virgil Stănoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilmo Jussilainen in the 24th minute of play forced Eagle FC's goalkeeper Cătălin Gârniceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sakis Kaladosis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucio Claus in the 31st minute. Sakis Kaladosis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucio Claus went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute Ilmo Jussilainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Gârniceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Epeios Solomos made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Aek athens booed when Eagle FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zamir Osja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eagle FC's Cătălin Gârniceanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Eagle FC from getting a goal against them. Epeios Solomos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Gârniceanu having to interfere. Cătălin Gârniceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliot Lenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliot Lenberg in the 59th minute of play forced Eagle FC's goalkeeper Cătălin Gârniceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Eagle FC's Zamir Osja got a free kick in the 64th minute. Cătălin Gârniceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilmo Jussilainen in the 65th minute of the match. Cătălin Gârniceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilmo Jussilainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Epeios Solomos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Cătălin Gârniceanu made a huge save. In the 69th match minute, Aek athens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grzegorz Chazon to maneuver through the defense. Eagle FC made a substitution. Pana Rama replaced Lucio Claus. Arenc Tefa kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Epeios Solomos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cătălin Gârniceanu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Cătălin Gârniceanu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eagle FC made a substitution. Isa Rexhepi replaced Benjamin Fernado. After a rather tough play, Eagle FC's Sotiraq Shelgu got a free kick in the 87th minute. Ilmo Jussilainen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cătălin Gârniceanu. Eagle FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Epeios Solomos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aek athens's supporters rose to their feet, but Epeios Solomos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cătălin Gârniceanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pana Rama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
