In the 22nd minute, Marios Kotsilimbas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Timoteo Lucero. The goal made the score 2-0. Phaiakes Paraskevopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute Alexandru Nastac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Lobonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, FC NATIONAL's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Nastac came free, but Bogdan Lobonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akademia Maliqi were furious when Øyvind Skoglund was red carded, 37 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Akademia Maliqi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC NATIONAL:s goal. Karl Beck hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41stth minute of the game Alexandru Nastac who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC NATIONAL's Bogdan Lobonț was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC NATIONAL's Bogdan Lobonț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Nastac in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, FC NATIONAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akestes Bentihavas to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandru Nastac stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Akademia Maliqi's Emmanuel Urruti got a free kick in the 54th minute. Timoteo Lucero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alpheios Koutsoubos in the 56th minute of play. With his leg Bogdan Lobonț managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Akademia Maliqi's Alexandru Nastac fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Timoteo Lucero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akestes Bentihavas, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Bogdan Lobonț stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandru Nastac's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute Octavian Popescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Lucero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Akestes Bentihavas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Guaberto Gilesindo in the 68th minute really tested Bogdan Lobonț's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, FC NATIONAL's Isidoro Heriberto got a free kick in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, FC NATIONAL's Phaiakes Paraskevopoulos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timoteo Lucero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Phaiakes Paraskevopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bogdan Lobonț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olly May in the 87th minute of the match. Ivón Echavarris short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Bogdan Lobonț to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 94th minute Octavian Popescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Lucero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC NATIONAL's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
