Baran Erozan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kim Bolas in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Lobonț prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Phaiakes Paraskevopoulos came free, but Barrie Kerridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kim Bolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the match, Kim Bolas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bogdan Lobonț, 3-0. If Kim Bolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes FC NATIONAL got a freekick which was hit by Akestes Bentihavas. Leszek Cupial, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Kim Bolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute Kim Bolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Lobonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes FC NATIONAL got a freekick which was hit by Francileudo Faarø. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Kim Bolas put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bogdan Lobonț. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael Cutberto to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Kim Bolas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bogdan Lobonț. FC NATIONAL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kim Bolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 54 minutes into the match, Kim Bolas notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of FC NATIONAL's Bogdan Lobonț. Bogdan Lobonț was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Octavian Popescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Barrie Kerridge made a huge save. Bogdan Lobonț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Bolas in the 63rd minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC NATIONAL's goalie and right to Matteo Borda. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC NATIONAL's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 67th minute, Marios Kotsilimbas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sliema Dragons FC made a substitution. Dejan Cassar replaced Kim Bolas. 71 minutes into the match, FC NATIONAL's goal looked a bit too open when Dejan Cassar came free, but Bogdan Lobonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Dejan Cassar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sliema Dragons FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dejan Cassar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Lobonț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Pepe Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barrie Kerridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phaiakes Paraskevopoulos in the 78th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 86 minutes into the game, when Mukul Muka put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC NATIONAL fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Dejan Cassar took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bogdan Lobonț. Bogdan Lobonț dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. In the 94th match minute, FC NATIONAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akestes Bentihavas to maneuver through the defense. When Nicias Spyridis fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC NATIONAL's protests and gave Nicias Spyridis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th minute, Nicias Spyridis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC NATIONAL players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sliema Dragons FC.
