Spectators: 184 (Terracing: 139, Seating: 42, VIP seats: 3) Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Florentin Gougeon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilmantas Matulas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Florentin Gougeon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vilmantas Matulas. FC Žalia Giria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florentin Gougeon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Florentin Gougeon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Saúl Gentiletti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerry Lodge. Valencia C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saúl Gentiletti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 20th minute Guillermo Farré shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilmantas Matulas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Florentin Gougeon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vilmantas Matulas. FC Žalia Giria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florentin Gougeon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After some careless play in the FC Žalia Giria defense, Florentin Gougeon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vilmantas Matulas. The FC Žalia Giria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vilmantas Matulas should have stopped the shot. FC Žalia Giria's Jack Grealish was substituted for Vytautas Petkus. Vilmantas Matulas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florentin Gougeon's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuan Wei Han in the 40th minute of play forced FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Vilmantas Matulas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florentin Gougeon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilmantas Matulas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saúl Gentiletti was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Vilmantas Matulas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, FC Žalia Giria's Vilmantas Matulas got control of the ball when Guillermo Farré tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Žalia Giria's Vilmantas Matulas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilmantas Matulas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Florentin Gougeon took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vilmantas Matulas. Vilmantas Matulas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 65th minute of play forced FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Vilmantas Matulas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilmantas Matulas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentin Gougeon in the 68th minute of play. Vilmantas Matulas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florentin Gougeon's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. FC Žalia Giria made a substitution. Augustinas Baltramaitis replaced Saúl Gentiletti. Valencia C.F.'s Adam Harding was substituted for Alfred Claydon. Valencia C.F.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guillermo Farré in the 72nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Guillermo Farré got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vilmantas Matulas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. FC Žalia Giria's Vilmantas Matulas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Žalia Giria from getting a goal against them. When Florentin Gougeon came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Valencia C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florentin Gougeon couldn't finish the play. Florentin Gougeon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vilmantas Matulas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentin Gougeon in the 81st minute of the match. FC Žalia Giria's Vilmantas Matulas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 82nd minute of play. Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustinas Baltramaitis in the 84th minute of play. Florentin Gougeon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adam Harding hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Žalia Giria booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valencia C.F. played a much better game than FC Žalia Giria and deserved their victory. The FC Žalia Giria players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
