Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arne Rusterholz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadmor Netaniyahu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadmor Netaniyahu in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arne Rusterholz saved Geležinis Vilkas from getting behind. Arévalo Miñaca might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raul Zoff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arévalo Miñaca ran back to his position shaking his head. Raul Zoff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arévalo Miñaca, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Aurelio Tanio lost his temper 29 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Maccabi Netanya:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Geležinis Vilkas:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arévalo Miñaca in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raul Zoff saved Maccabi Netanya from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Danış Keçecioğlu in the 36th minute of play forced Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Arne Rusterholz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arévalo Miñaca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raul Zoff having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arévalo Miñaca in the 39th minute of play forced Maccabi Netanya's goalkeeper Raul Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Arévalo Miñaca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raul Zoff was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tadmor Netaniyahu to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadmor Netaniyahu got free with Arne Rusterholz in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raul Zoff came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca. But to his dismay, Arévalo Miñaca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 58 minutes of play, Geležinis Vilkas's Saulius Grapskis made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raul Zoff was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arévalo Miñaca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Zoff having to interfere. After some careless play in the Maccabi Netanya defense, Arévalo Miñaca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Zoff. The Maccabi Netanya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Zoff should have stopped the shot. Raul Zoff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arévalo Miñaca's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Arévalo Miñaca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Raul Zoff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arévalo Miñaca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raul Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arévalo Miñaca in the 74th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arévalo Miñaca in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raul Zoff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jori Pereire hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Arévalo Miñaca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Zoff was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Arévalo Miñaca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raul Zoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arévalo Miñaca in the 93rd minute of the match. Raul Zoff didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arévalo Miñaca went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score.
