With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joe Herring in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raul Zoff saved Maccabi Netanya from getting behind. Joe Herring blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raul Zoff having to make a save. Raul Zoff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Herring, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Joe Herring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerry Lodge came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Maccabi Netanya's Tadmor Netaniyahu. But to his dismay, Tadmor Netaniyahu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ahmet Danış Keçecioğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jerry Lodge made a huge save. Raul Zoff didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joe Herring went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joe Herring in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raul Zoff saved Maccabi Netanya from getting behind. In the 36th minute, Joe Herring left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valencia C.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 41st minute, Jaques Domtov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yuan Wei Han came free in the 43rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Raul Zoff, but to the joy of Maccabi Netanya's supporters the ball went over. After a rather tough play, Maccabi Netanya's Tadmor Netaniyahu got a free kick in the 45th minute. The supporters of Maccabi Netanya booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joe Herring didn't get a good kick on the ball.

52 minutes into the game, Joe Herring cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Raul Zoff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute Michal Betonowy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Lodge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raul Zoff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jerry Lodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terry Silver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joe Herring in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raul Zoff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86thth minute of the game Joe Herring who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maccabi Netanya's Raul Zoff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 89 minutes Maccabi Netanya's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guillermo Farré who took care of the corner kick. 90 minutes into the game, Florentin Gougeon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Raul Zoff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th minute Tadmor Netaniyahu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Lodge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Maccabi Netanya supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Valencia C.F.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Valencia C.F..
