Raul Zoff didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joe Herring went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Joe Herring's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Raul Zoff skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The corner ended in Guillermo Farré almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maccabi Netanya's Raul Zoff did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Herring in the 24th minute of play forced Maccabi Netanya's goalkeeper Raul Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerry Lodge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Danış Keçecioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A collision led to Valencia C.F. getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Denislav Tzankovski made in the 50th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Valencia C.F.'s Guillermo Farré.
