Arévalo Miñaca might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vilmantas Matulas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arévalo Miñaca ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in FC Žalia Giria's zone, Arévalo Miñaca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilmantas Matulas came out of the goal and Arévalo Miñaca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 92 minutes on the clock, Zenonas Lopeta commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Geležinis Vilkas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
