The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mario Balotelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. After 14 minutes, Otsoko Parada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Marino Thm and the AFC Viola Gigliati players grew even worse after the yellow card. Otsoko Parada kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes AFC Viola Gigliati got a freekick which was hit by Santio Marco. Ralondo Barboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cuarto Charro in the 18th minute of play. AFC Viola Gigliati's Ralondo Barboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jader Duran in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Olavo Eger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ralondo Barboa. AFC Viola Gigliati's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olavo Eger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of San Marino Thm booed when AFC Viola Gigliati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Cicero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th match minute, San Marino Thm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Rodriguez to maneuver through the defense. Kurt Hamrin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ralondo Barboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Eger in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute Olavo Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralondo Barboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Kurt Hamrin managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Viola Gigliati's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Hamrin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zilar Presedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Olavo Eger made a precise shot to the right of Ralondo Barboa. AFC Viola Gigliati's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jader Duran was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Mario Balotelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AFC Viola Gigliati's Ralondo Barboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jader Duran in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th minute Mario Balotelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zilar Presedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in San Marino Thm's zone, Santio Marco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zilar Presedo came out of the goal and Santio Marco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. San Marino Thm made a substitution. Jhon Arias replaced Olavo Eger. Ralondo Barboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jader Duran in the 65th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Petrigai Campillo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Zilar Presedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Balotelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when AFC Viola Gigliati's Mario Balotelli fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. AFC Viola Gigliati's Dunixi Bueno was substituted for Frutos Sator. Zilar Presedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Cicero in the 74th minute of play. Zilar Presedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Balotelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When AFC Viola Gigliati's Mario Balotelli in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Balotelli in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zilar Presedo saved San Marino Thm from getting behind. In the 82nd minute of the match AFC Viola Gigliati got a corner. San Marino Thm's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enrico Cicero ran over to the corner to take the kick. Otsoko Parada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ralondo Barboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to AFC Viola Gigliati getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Elorri Palmer hit a great ball. After 94 played minutes AFC Viola Gigliati got a freekick which was hit by Elorri Palmer. The audience was convinced that Mario Balotelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zilar Presedo was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. San Marino Thm walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
