Luis Castillero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lionel-Andrés Newell in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Universitario's goalkeeper Roman Diaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luis Castillero was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Lionel-Andrés Newell capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lionel-Andrés Newell really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 15th minute, Tom-Lukas Queraria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roman Diaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Douglas de Mendonça got free with Luis Castillero in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Universitario's goalkeeper Roman Diaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roman Diaz came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo de San Blás's Tom-Lukas Queraria. But to his dismay, Tom-Lukas Queraria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Universitario's Dorotheos Agathakos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Totín Garcia De Paredes, made in the 24th minute of the game. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Universitario's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Universitario's goalie and right to Totín Garcia De Paredes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Universitario's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Luis Castillero made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Lionel-Andrés Newell sent off a good shot on target. Lionel-Andrés Newell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Luis Castillero made a huge save. 31 minutes into the match, Universitario's goal looked a bit too open when Tom-Lukas Queraria came free, but Roman Diaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Flamengo de San Blás's goal looked a bit too open when Euloxu Rojas came free, but Luis Castillero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lionel-Andrés Newell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Castillero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Universitario's Branislav Vitev was substituted for 杜升强. A collision led to Flamengo de San Blás getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Totín Garcia De Paredes hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Salvador Montrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute Lionel-Andrés Newell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Castillero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Universitario's Roman Diaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Universitario from getting a goal against them. In the 92ndth minute of the game Lionel-Andrés Newell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flamengo de San Blás's Luis Castillero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
