Cenan Yılkan scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferdinand Johnson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 12th minute Cenan Yılkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes, Gabrio Barzana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alfonso Ugarte and the ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guib Cortina got free with Celso de Carvalho in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Guib Cortina came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guib Cortina couldn't finish the play.

After 53 minutes, Roland Treceño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alfonso Ugarte and the ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alfonso Ugarte getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Roland Treceño hit a great ball. Guib Cortina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso de Carvalho having to make a save. Celso de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guib Cortina, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Guib Cortina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Guib Cortina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Celso de Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Carlisle Fenwick was substituted for Guib Cortina. Fran Canta kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Atauri Urquiaga charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Atauri Urquiaga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Atauri Urquiaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlisle Fenwick in the 74th minute of play forced Alfonso Ugarte's goalkeeper Celso de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atauri Urquiaga got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alfonso Ugarte players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ.
