In the 20th minute of the match, David Talamanca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ruy Berger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Escobar in the 24th minute of play forced OROTINENSE's goalkeeper Liu Yong Yong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Alfredo Tomasini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liu Yong Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacek Walczak kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Tomasini was the one to do the kick off. OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save OROTINENSE from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richie Ason in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Liu Yong Yong saved OROTINENSE from getting behind. 59 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Tomasini came free, but Liu Yong Yong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruy Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Carvajal, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Richie Ason's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Liu Yong Yong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Liu Yong Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richie Ason in the 72nd minute of play. OROTINENSE made a substitution. Minor Talamanca replaced Omar Carvajal. OROTINENSE's Iordache Opincaru was substituted for Jacek Walczak. OROTINENSE made a substitution. Nuno Orihuela replaced Jesus Cortez. A collision led to OROTINENSE getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Reinaldo Medina hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's goalkeeper Liu Yong Yong had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Escobar. OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save OROTINENSE from getting a goal against them. Ruy Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iordache Opincaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Ruy Berger came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by OROTINENSE's Juraj Múdry. But to his dismay, Juraj Múdry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
