In the 7thth minute of the game Fernando Grover who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ORION F.C.'s Dadhyan Rudrappa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, ORION F.C.'s goalkeeper Dadhyan Rudrappa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Grover. Dadhyan Rudrappa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fatih-Sultan Mehmet in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Levander in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dadhyan Rudrappa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Toto Pinilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. ORION F.C.'s Dadhyan Rudrappa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Grover in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Xande Hwang came free, but Yao Zhan Sang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yao Zhan Sang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Torrijos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yao Zhan Sang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toto Pinilla in the 32nd minute of play. Dadhyan Rudrappa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Clavijo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 40 minutes into the match, ORION F.C.'s goalkeeper Dadhyan Rudrappa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltazar Clavijo. ORION F.C.'s goalie Dadhyan Rudrappa was quick on his feet when Baltazar Clavijo aimed and made a shot towards the top left corner. The goalie picked down the ball without great difficulties. Dadhyan Rudrappa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fatih-Sultan Mehmet in the 43rd minute. Fernando Grover took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dadhyan Rudrappa. Dadhyan Rudrappa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Fernando Grover made the kick off in the second half. If Tomas Levander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 54 minutes into the game, Mikail Savgat recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yao Zhan Sang. Mikail Savgat showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 65 minutes into the match, Baltazar Clavijo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dadhyan Rudrappa. ORION F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltazar Clavijo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Dadhyan Rudrappa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Grover in the 69th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Villalaz got free with Yao Zhan Sang in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yao Zhan Sang was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enrique Gutierrez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 72 minute of play. Borussia Dortmund's Yao Zhan Sang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them.
