Paul Dumitru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Altza Herria's Julio-César van Beek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Stănciulaş in the 15th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christiano Ronaldo in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Dumitru saved Inter Saguntino from getting behind. The referee ignored Inter Saguntino's protests and gave Benito Ariando a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Inter Saguntino getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dennis Bergkamp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Inter Saguntino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Dumitru should have stopped the shot. Sandu Stănciulaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio-César van Beek having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Marcos Saavedra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paul Dumitru. Inter Saguntino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Saavedra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Inter Saguntino players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Altza Herria.
