In the 16th minute Michel Hervé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Suciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Barrikako Herensugeak F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Pacho Mondejar came free, but Erik Thorstvedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdika Philip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erik Thorstvedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdika Philip in the 22nd minute of play. After 26 played minutes Salud y República got a freekick which was hit by Abdika Borbon. Salud y República's Juan Carlos Suciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Hervé in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Jokin Bernal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Suciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Barrikako Herensugeak F.C's Michel Hervé dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Juan Carlos Suciu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Barrikako Herensugeak F.C defense, Abdika Philip kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Thorstvedt. The Barrikako Herensugeak F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Thorstvedt should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leizarraga Leal was the one to do the kick off. Erik Thorstvedt made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Abdika Philip sent off a good shot on target. After 63 played minutes Salud y República got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Doblas. Barrikako Herensugeak F.C's Unax Ondategui was substituted for Jokin Bernal. Emilio Doblas hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Juan Carlos Suciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Hervé, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute.
