ReyPoxo's Zoilo Coira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the game, ReyPoxo's Tales Lucas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wei Chuan Xuan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 19th minute Tales Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wei Chuan Xuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ReyPoxo were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Clube Esportivo Saudade's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leif Larsen took the corner. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tales Lucas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
